Welcoming Fall : The Berkshires
Last week after I had a particularly punishing work week, S decided - on a whim - that we should drive up to the Berkshires. I'm so glad we went - there's nothing that fresh air, lots of walking, and farms can't fix. By the time we arrived in the mountains, the week before seemed a million miles away. It was such a beautiful and reviving weekend - fall was just beginning to kiss the trees a gentle glow of red and orange. Something about going away, no matter how close or far away, can work wonders on the mind! With all the digital distractions available at home, it's great just to be outside - walking side by side, with nothing to focus on together but the beautiful scenery. It's probably my favorite activity with S, whether we're walking down our street, or somewhere across the world. There's something incredibly freeing about enjoying the moment while walking - feeling your body moving, observing the beauty surrounding you, and feeling the sun and air on your face.
Below are some of my favorite moments from the weekend. Thanks S, for taking us on this trip - and for taking me to the farm!
What are your fall traditions? And what do you do to recover after a tough week?
Thanks for reading.
